It's the Little Things

Sometimes, I am so impressed by my children.

The other day, Lacey and Nate were doing a Color Wonder color-your-own-sticker page and were just on the verge of fighting over it. I was bracing for impact when all of a sudden, Lacey announced to Nate that she will do the coloring and he could do the sticking. And he agreed! They happily played together like that for 5 minutes or so. It was so nice.

I love how Nate jumps at any chance to go upstairs. Anything.

I love listening to their little conversations in the back seat. Lacey asks him questions and he answers them. Or he'll try to get her attention on something and she tries to figure out what he's talking about. Or, "Look Nate! You have a BIG GIANT star on your side".

I love how Santa's name is "Ho-Hoi" and trains are "shoo-shoo-y". When he wants to leave, "I go-ey". Or NOI..no no no no noi. It's so adorable.

I love how he likes to hide in the hall closet. He'll shut the door as he says Bye Bye and then waits. Then he'll open it and wave a flappy wave and say Hi!

I love how Lacey still wants me to retrieve her out of bed. Yes, it can be annoying. But I can think of several ways that it would be more annoying to have her just get up whenever. I hope Nate will do that too. I worked hard at it with her when she was little, but Nate is a totally different animal altogether. LOL!

I love how compassionate Lacey is and how passionate Nate is. They are very different but equally loveable.

I am excited for Nate that he can go to preschool in the fall. I will be sad to see him get "bigger" but he wants to go SO BADLY that I will be happy for him anyway.
