Say What?
On the way home from preschool this morning, I discovered that the thermostat in the van took a crap on me. *big heavy sigh* Of course, this would only happen on the COLDEST week of the season yet. Yeah, it's gonna be like 20 degrees all this week. So, on the way back to pick her up later, I am armed with mittens and blankets to keep the kids warm. And I ask her, "L, are you cozy warm back there or are your little fingers and toes cold"? She says "I don't care". So I'm thinking she wasn't listening to me and I ask her again, ignoring the fact that she was rude for a second. And this time I hear, "I don't care mommy, so why don't you just stop talking". You have never seen a head snap around 180 degrees so fast. Excuse me??? Where is she learning this stuff?? She seemed pretty proud of her new phrase because she had been telling N for the last mile or so, but I think I put the fear of God in her.
