Resolutions

Dare I say it out loud and risk ruining it??

YES

My 2009 resolution, finally revealed, is: (drumroll)

to start making the effort to be "pretty" every day. That means getting hair and makeup done in some capacity every morning. I have let myself go for too long. And I see so many women at L's preschool with 2 and 3 kids with their hair done, makeup done, outfit coordinated, and fresh-faced in time for school drop-off at 9am. How can they do this with no hubby at home? I should have no excuse right? My hubby is home until the afternoon. So that's what I have been working on. I need to work on the amount of time it takes me and sometimes that means showering at night and primping the next morning. But I am making the effort and that's what matters.

I am also working out again, but I chose not to make that a resolution. That's just a new personal goal that Matt and I have been working on together for a couple of weeks now. Hopefully, the combined result of these two life changes will be a little more self- esteem and self-love. They say when you look good, you feel better about yourself. Seems to be true so far. I don't feel so frumpy these days.

I think you are adorable, but you find that inner diva and let her shine! No need to go full on makeup and peep-toe pumps for playdates at Tumble Town, though! : )

So-it's March. How are you doing on this resolution? LOL! I know I don't do it!

I'm doing great! My hair and makeup is done almost every day. If I can't do my hair, it just goes into a ponytail but I still do the makeup. So at least I look prepped. I'm proud of myself and it's becoming such a habit that I am almost to the point where I don't like going out without it. Hooray!
