Is it summer yet?

Now, I know as well as anyone that when it does finally get here, I will be complaining about how freaking HOT it is. BUT - as cold as it is right now, I don't care. WHEN is summer coming???? We are all getting cabin fever. And even though we have playgroup events and gymnastics and preschool, most of the days are stuck indoors. It's just too cold to go outside. I'd walk the mall, but I am easily swayed into purchases, especially if there are sales. So what's a girl to do but BEG the gods for warm weather. We had some freak warm days here and there in November and December and BELIEVE that I had the kids out there as much as possible.

But it's not just the need for activities, although that is my main concern. I was very sad to see summer go this year. I knew how much I was going to miss opening the windows and turning off the heat. I miss the smell of grills going strong...flowers blooming...chlorine in the pool. I am a fool for Christmas, but that's the extent of my devotion to cold weather and the only reason that I tolerate it. But now, I'm ready for warm to come back.
