The Heat is On

We are in a heat wave this week. The weather people say that the heat wave from the midwest is making it's way over us now and the temps are supposed to hover around 100 from today through Thursday with heat indexes of 115 or so. Yeah, that's hot. But in my opinion, anything over 90 is considered heat wave in my book, and that means we've been in one for well over a week already! Especially for someone nearly 8 months pregnant! All this happens at the same time as the rate hike in electricity and there is NO chance that I am turning down the A/C. I just keep praying that it will cool down a little bit soon. Matt has been working a LOT lately and I am the sole caregiver to Lacey outside of daycare, and I feel bad for her because I can't take her outside to play. Just walking with her (way too slowly) from the car to the door is almost too much. Poor kid. And she so loves to play outside. On the weekends, we are stuck indoors and we don't go for our stroller rides or anything. Oh how I long for 80 degree weather again.
