Did I mention I hate my boss? Without confirming with me first, my lovely boss has started informing certain people that I will not be returning to my job after maternity leave. But that I may be working in some other department. So, wow, he sure did try hard to make my job work P/T, didn't he? I am just SO blown away at how hard he tried to make it happen. He didn't do anything!
The director of HR (who he would have had to try to work things out with) said that Terence told him I wasn't coming back and how he was sorry to hear that. And I was like, WHAT? I explained that I had actually wanted to work out something P/T and really feel that it can be done if the extra unnecessaries were removed. He suggested I email him with my thoughts, but seems unconcerned really.
The comment from the Director was on Wednesday. Today I get a call from the girls in Payroll too. So thanks, boss, for notifying everyone else EXCEPT me that you have decided to get a replacement. At least Ed, who I do a little bit of work for still now, realizes my worth after all these years and wonders if I can keep doing those things from home. I don't know. Maybe it's time to let it go and try to find something else.
