The First Outfit

Suddenly (finally), I was hit with the urge to look at baby clothes while picking up baby supplies for Lacey at Wal-mart. Lo and behold, a super cute little boy outfit was spotted in the clearance section for $7. I thought it was adorable and decided to pick it up for the coming home and hospital picture outfit. I got the Preemie size. The 0-3 month just looks so huge. And with Lacey, she fit in the preemie size for a good couple of weeks. I was glad that I had brought one to the hospital with me because she swam in the 0-3 month outfit I had for her. So despite the possibilty that this baby MIGHT actually be considerably larger, I went with my gut and bought the small size.

I am lucky that I don't need to buy many outfits for this baby. My sister-in-law has 5 boys and more than enough clothes to pick through. In fact, it's probably going to be an overwhelming job. And yet, I have to do the same with Lacey's old clothes. This is probably the last baby I'll have and there is no reason to keep everything anymore. Just the special stuff that they might want for their own kids later. It's sad to let go. She didn't get to have them very long and it's already time to say goodbye to them.
