Well, it has been entirely too long since my last post. Let's see...what's been happening lately...Lacey doesn't say "bear" anymore really. But she is pointing out the bear and the star and the puppy in her book. She's so smart. And she points out her nose and my nose and a couple of other facial features. She still imitates certain animal sounds. But she's also becoming quite the tantum thrower. All of a sudden, she doesn't like getting dressed. For the last couple of days, she pitched a fit every time I tried to put a shirt over her head or stick her arms through the holes. Goodness! I guess she needs to assert her independence wherever she can.

Meanwhile, I am still sick and sleepy most days. But the sleepiness seems to be getting better little by little. I have lost 10 pounds and I talked to my doctor this morning about whether I can take my pills without letting them disolve on my tongue so I can avoid the resulting dry heaving. So that prescription will be re-filled tonight. Since I can barely eat anything now (my portion sizes are ridiculously small), I hope that taking the medication again will allow me to get through full size meals without gagging or throwing them up directly after.

I have been fantasizing a lot about my mother's cooking recently and since I'll be there in 3 weeks, I'm hoping to be able to actually eat it! I am also bringing a video camera to watch how she does it so I won't forget. She has taught me countless times how to make various things, but my feeble mind does not understand the cooking world and I can never remember when it comes to doing it myself.

Easter is coming up and we'll be going to Matt's moms house as we traditionally do. I bought 8 plastic eggs to fill with Cheerios and Puffs for her to hunt for in the morning before we leave, and I'm sure that she'll go around and help the other kids look for eggs at Grandmom's too. And knowing Grandmom, she'll have a huge Easter basket filled with fun stuff for her to eat and play with. She's sure to have a chocolate/sugar rush for most of the day. This time, I'm getting smart and bringing her pack and play to use for naps instead of trying to force her to lay down with us in a bed. Plus, then we can leave her in the room alone until she wakes up without having to lay there ourselves the whole time to watch her. It only took me 10+ times to figure out this new approach. DUH! heh heh.
