Yesterday was great! We started the morning with giving Lacey her basket that the Easter Bunny left her. Too bad she wasn't really liking anything that was in it. Then we had breakfast and she went down for her morning nap. After she woke up, we went on an egg hunt. It only took a couple of eggs for her to realize what to do. We had to point them out to her, but when she saw them, she'd toddle right over, pick it up, shake it, and put it in her basket. It was so cute! Then I gave her some lunch while Matt finished planting new flowers in the gardens at the end of the driveway, and it was off to Grandmom's house!
She loved the stuff in THAT Easter basket, of course, and she was happily playing with her new book and eating her new Puffs. We put her down for her afternoon nap before the other kids got there and when she woke up, there were all these "strangers" around, so it took her a little while to warm up and she preferred to hide in mommy's legs for a while. But soon she was playing and dancing and running all around. We had to make a quick exit soon after 8pm because she was having a complete meltdown and was way over-tired since it was an hour after her bedtime already with a 45 minute trip home ahead of us. She didn't get to sleep until 8:45 where she conked out with hardly a fuss. But she had a great time, and so did we.
