The Offer Is In

We listed our house yesterday morning and put in an offer on a house that I love down the road. Course I am totally flipping out about it now - - terrified about the mortgage payment and the daycare situation and a whole host of other things that COULD go wrong with the furnace or septic system, but that probably won't go wrong in the time that we own it. But I am nervous anyway and almost hoping that the offer is rejected. (As I type this, someone has heated something in the kitchen down the hall that has me on the verge of gagging). In the meantime, we wait for people to start coming into our own home and checking it out. I'm trying to keep everything perfectly clean but there is still a lot that needs to be done. I'm not expecting anyone to want to see the house tonight so I am going to try to load up the car with junk from the laundry room to take to Goodwill sometime this week. Then I'll start boxing up clothes from the closets and get them ready to take to the storage unit. The problem is that this is Matt's "long week" at work so I'm on my own for a lot of the maintenance and preparation. I'm sure that this weekend is going to be pretty crazy.

I have not been feeling well at all and am praying that the first trimester (or at least the sick part of it) goes by quickly. It's getting worse and I'm hoping that this is the peak because I really need to have the energy and stomach to handle all the things coming up in the next couple of weeks. Sharon (our agent) seems to think that we'll have a contract on the house in 2 weeks.
