We have arrived home safe and sound from our trip to Nana's house! It was a great trip but the week seemed to fly by. Before we knew it, it was time to go home! You got a lot of great gifts from your cousins Leah and Shauna and your Aunt Jamileh. Nana, Mina, and I got you two beautiful dresses to wear for Thanksgiving and Christmas and you looked so adorable in your Thanksgiving outfit! I can't wait to see the Christmas ensemble! On Monday, we relaxed after the long trip to Illinois. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we stayed in and visited with the close family and you got to familiarize yourself with everyone again. On Thursday, while Nana and Mina prepared Thansgiving dinner, you got to go to Aunt Jamileh's house and get in her whirlpool bathtub with the girls. You were having a good time for a little while but when you wanted out, you sure let us all know! You were nearly covered up in bath foam so I guess you got tired of that and wanted out. Then we came home and you took a nap through dinner.
But when you woke up, I got you dressed and you made your grand entrance.
On Friday, my friend Terwrin came with her family and her daughter, Reagan (3), to visit you and you were very nice and playful. Reagan just loved you and decided that she was your best friend and that she was your "actual" cousin. It was very funny! Saturday, Terwrin's family came back to drop off your Uncle Matthew and stayed for a little while. Then it was off to the airport for our journey home.
I must say that on your way to Illinois, you did a pretty good job of tolerating the flight. But on the way home, you spent most of the 2 hour flight screaming and crying. You finally fell asleep in the last half hour. You were crying again on the way home because it had been a while since you had eaten. We stopped on the side of 795 to try to feed you but you didn't want Uncle Matthew. So I stopped again on Rt.30, climbed in the back, and Matthew had to drive us home while I fed you. It was pretty stressful and I was glad when we finally made it home. Poor Matthew lost his hat in the process.
Last night, Daddy and I rearranged the living room so we could try to make more room for the Christmas tree and the other decorations. Unfortunately, the sofa had to be moved to a position that sort of closes off the living room and makes it seem small. But it's only for a short time and it will be cozy when all the decorations are out.
