6 months later....

Ahh, so I finally caved and am back posting. It was hard to come back because with every passing day, I was missing more and more postable events and knew I was getting closer and closer to a point where I couldn't catch up. But it's important to me to continue chronicling the days of our lives and so I will glaze over the last 6 months and pick up where I left off.

-- Baby Nathan was born finally on October 8, 2006. After much back and forth on whether to induce or not to induce, a week after his due date had come and gone, my doc decided for me. In the end, I'm glad it was medically supervised from start to finish since it was over in 2 hours flat and he also had some issues with meconium and the cord wrapped around his neck twice over.

--We moved out of our old 2 bed/1 bath house into a 4 bed/2.5 bath house. To afford such a thing, we had to move far up into PA, BUT it's worth it for the space and the knowledge that they can grow up here and we won't have to move again (I hope).

--Nate is a glorious child. Barring about 6 weeks of ridiculous evening screaming not long after he was born, the rest of the time has been fantastic. He is such a happy boy. He LOVES Lacey and she loves him as much in return. It's so amazing to see them "play" together.

In subsequent posts, I am going to attempt to explain the kind of dilemmas I now face with two young children spaced so closely together. Also, I am toying with the idea of adding video to this blog for family to view and feel close to us.

I'm glad I finally faced this empty blog and returned to journaling. I plan to keep it better updated moving forward.
